WZBT hits $5K - sets new stretch goal!

October 07, 2016

WZBT is thrilled to say that, within 48 hours, we surpassed our initial goal of $5,000! This is simply amazing; your generosity is unsurpassed.

The donations catapulting us over our goal were pledged as Karl Segletes and I were hosting our weekly show last night, The Class With Some Sass. Needless to say, we were ecstatic. Other WZBT DJ's and Executive Board members hanging out in the station immediately shared in our excitement. It is now a reality that the station will be getting some of the equipment it needs in order to continue to thrive.

That said, we still need your help! In response to your incredible generosity, we are now setting a stretch goal of $10,000. This funding would allow us to make further enhancements to the station, including the purchase of a device that monitors our broadcast signal. Our current model is well over 10-years-old, and it is a FCC required device to be running at all times while the station is broadcasting. In addition, miscellaneous improvements to our Production Booth will be made possible by this stretch goal. All of these upgrades will help 91.1 WZBT lead Gettysburg College into the future of student media by improving the quality of our programming. All of our DJ's (who are all as excited as I am about reaching our goal so quickly) will immediately benefit from these enhancements.

Thank you for your time and for your generosity, and please share this update and our campaign page with your friends and radio alumni. It means so much to us here at WZBT. Please continue supporting Gettysburg College Radio. And remember, keep on listening!

Douglas Kowalewski '18 Program Director, 91.1 WZBT Gettysburg
